 Member in Good Standing
In order to provide the most beneficial Beta Alpha Psi experience to our members and pledges, the Zeta Iota chapter has set specific participation standards which meet the Superior award status of our National Offices.
Members and candidates are required to earn a minimum of 20 hours of participation per semester as follows:
  • 10 professional hours
  • 10 community service hours (2 hours of which are required to be tutoring hours)
In the professional world, an hour is considered to be 50 minutes. Therefore, BAP requires all participation to be reported in minutes. These minutes are converted to professional hours when determining chapter status. Members and pledges are required to earn 20 hours of participation per semester. In actuality, this is only 1,000 minutes.

You may report non-BAP sponsored events, such as community service events you participate in that are not sponsored by BAP or participated in as a BAP group, or professional events such as Nevada Society of CPA luncheons, career services seminars, etc. If you have any questions regarding the BAP status of an event or its eligibility, you are welcome to ask the Reporting Secretary ahead of time. All hours, whether BAP or non-BAP will be counted toward your total participation requirement for each semester. Please direct any further requirements about this topic to the Reporting Secretary.

If you are reporting a non-BAP event, please include a brief description of the organization sponsoring the event, the topic, and what you did. If you have a flier or any written documentation obtained from a non-BAP event, it is recommended that you save such information in case you are asked to provide evidence to the Reporting Secretary when reporting takes place.
Participation reports are due by the 5th of every month for the previous mon.
